is not a bug....is a "don't know what"!

loading the same source (29,97 hibrid film)i got different times :

CalcuMatic=51:22(dvd2avi project)
MovieStacker=51:22(dvd2avi project)
Dvd2Svcd=01:05:18(.ifo file)
ToK= 01:03:45(.avs script from dvd2avi project)
VDub and VDubMod=01:03:45.15(.avs script from dvd2avi project)
HeadAC3he=01:03:45.086(ac3 from dvd2avi project)
tmpgenc= 01:03:45(no change with .avs script or dvd2avi project)

:?
what's wrong, what's right(if any)?!?!

ps:
from another source (29,97 hibrid film too) i got the same proportional times!

The movie lengths (time) given from MovieStacker and CalcuMatic should be the right ones. Maybe the time is changing when you load the .avs because you're changing the framerate in your script :?:

jorel 09-25-2003 03:04 AM

....doubts!
and the time in HeadAC3he (loading the ac3)
in Tmpgenc (loading dvd2avi project without .avs script),
and in Dvd2Svcd (loading the .ifo file) :?:
:?
in this 3 situations, the .avs script is not used.

resuming: :eyebrows:
1-dvd2svcd loading the .ifo file show one (exclusive) final time.
2-CalcuMatic and MovieStacker show the same time using the "project"
3-VDub, VDubMod and Tok show the same time using the .avs script
4-Tmpgenc show the same time no matter if is .avs script or "project"
6-HeadAC3he show the same time(ac3) like
VDub,VDubMod,ToK (using .avs script) and like
Tmpgenc(with or without the .avs scrip)!
big confusion......
still strange!

i wanna CRY :!:
:bawl:
if the time is wrong, the CQ and target will be wrong too!
:screwy: :banghead:

Hi jorel,

For precise time, use the time stamped on the back of the DVD box, or on the DVD itself ;)

Another method..one that I use is look in the HeadAC3, (If using this) when you load the DVD2AVI file (.d2v) you will see the total time.....

hey Kwag, time stamped?
poor boys that are downloading divx. :litesbr: :Drunk: :BangHead:
:rotf:

means that i'm really "mazy"!
:confused: :lol:
everybody think that i'm complicated
(me include...and my teachers when i was young)
:roll: :oops:

Bud, seems a good choice!
:wink:

like i wrote, i can't see as a CalcuMatic bug!
:secret:
it can be the dvd2avi project or avisynth and/or filters!
...or the clocks!
:jawdrop:

thanks!

:wink:

Need to correct my post above ....if you are loading the Audio file created in DVD2AVI not the d2v file.....

Bud

Bud,
i'm loading the .ac3 in HeadAC3he from the dvd2avi project!
:)

LostStarter 09-27-2003 02:12 AM

found an other bug ?!

if i use Xvid files as source ( setting direct show renderer vfp to high)
the files will be too large ( 1 gig)
same with or without scripts!

with all other files/settings cqmatic works fine with me! but i have not testet it with CQ-VBR!

any solutions for this "bug" ?

Encode from ".d2v" or Non-XviD, Non-DivX sources :!:

only to remove doubts:
after encode my 2 players show exact
:arrow:63:45 (01:03:45)
is the first time that i got this "confusing" final times,
maybe cos the source is ivtc (Dumbo/Disney).
:wink:
