Or use Dropbox, or I can give you some FTP space to upload it.
RAR is better than 7z.

Zerowalker 06-16-2014 10:32 AM

It worked fine for me, tried to download it right now and decompress it.

You sure your download didn't mess up?

And, isn't it vice versa, 7zip has higher compression than rar (last i checked)?

lordsmurf 07-20-2014 06:13 AM

I get this in both WinRAR and 7zip.

Code:

!  C:\180_V01060_100.7z: Unknown method in 180_V01060_100.ISO
!  C:\180_V01060_100.7z: Error - operation failed

Zerowalker 07-20-2014 05:12 PM

Weird, downloaded it again and it works, can extract it without issue.
Are you using the latest "Non-Beta" 7zip?

I can also extract using WinRar.

Hmm, only thing i can think of is package corruption during transfer.
Are you using Wireless, this thing is extremely rare these days but i sure can happen.

lordsmurf 07-20-2014 05:18 PM

Can you just upload the raw ISO to Dropbox?

Zerowalker 07-20-2014 05:32 PM

Sure, just wanted to solve the issue, quite frustrating if it's on my side.
But never mind then.

180_V01060_100.iso

lordsmurf 07-20-2014 05:37 PM

Yes, it was an odd error.
I don't even have a guess as to what's wrong. Perhaps something is making it work only on the original system?

The important part was sharing the ATI CD, so I'm glad that part is resolved. :)

Downloading it now...

Zerowalker 07-20-2014 05:39 PM

Indeed, And if that's the case it's very frustrating.
Just imagine if all my archives only work on my system alone, they will be rendered useless in time:S

Well it needs to stay alive, must be one of the first time I am the one actually having something that's not currently available.

Hoping it works, this may also work to verify if the transfer itself corrupts it for you.

lordsmurf 07-20-2014 07:55 PM

Yep! The ISO loads just fine in MagicISO. :congrats:

Zerowalker 07-20-2014 08:39 PM

Which means all my archives can be corrupted, damn this isn't good at all.

What version of 7zip and Winrar do you have?

PS: Great that at least it works;)

lordsmurf 07-20-2014 08:44 PM

7zip 4.65 from 2009.
WinRAR 3.51 from 2005.

Neither are the "latest and greatest" versions, but they should still be able to open archives with issue. I tried on a Windows 7 system, with a much newer version of WinRAR, and it did not work there either. Not sure what version it was, but it's at least from mid 2012 or newer (age of system).

Zerowalker 07-20-2014 10:28 PM

Hmm, can understand that Winrar from 2005 wouldn't work, but 2012 should work i think, 7zip hasn't been upgraded since 2010-11.

I tried the version you have, 3.51 and it doesn't work.
However : WinRAR 4.20 (x64) Jun 14, 2012 - that version worked.

Have 9550 vivo with ATI Rage Theater ( not Theatre ) 213RT1ZUA43 MKLPW 0516AA.
What's up ? Regards

The card can capture, but needs a special set of HIS drivers -- not the typical AIW drivers.

This was an unanswered question or unresolved issue found during a site audit. It's hard to have an FAQ when the answers are missing, or final outcomes are unknown. At The Digital FAQ support forum, questions are never intentionally ignored, and may have been missed due to a forum glitch or human error. More details on the audit. I made a nice discovery with my new ATI All-in-Wonder X800XT PCIe. It captures audio directly from the Theater 200 chip! That's right, no need for a sound card. The machine didn't even have any sound card drivers installed! This is great news as I won't have to worry about audio drifting out of sync with the video during capture! I am sorta curious if this applies to the AIW X800 AGP and 2006 editions.

Can you please re-up the CD image?

Is that enough to get ATI 7500 VE PCI to be in the working condition?

BTW, I will only be using it to video capture using VDub. I don't need any multimedia center or any extra software.

metaleonid 02-10-2015 08:28 PM

Nevermind. The download link on google drive was still valid. I couldn't do it at work due to security but was able to download at home. Thanks a lot, Zerowalker.

Zerowalker 02-11-2015 09:31 AM

Good that you asked anyway.

If anyone has any problems getting the file (as i may or may not remove it from Google Drive at some point).
Just ask, i will help you get the file:)

I just thought I would mention that I've been working on setting up a very cheap video editing / capture machine based around WindowsXP, AGP, and related parts to try and convert some of my older family-videos on VHS in to digital so I can send it to family members online to have.

Well I had recently happened on an ebay auction with a nforce2-ultra-400 motherboard and 2.2 ghz AthlonXP Barton chip for $16.. works perfectly and that's part one.

Then today, I happened on a ATI All-In-Wonder 9800 Pro with breakout cable at a local used parts store for $10 out the door on discount. Snatched it up and looks like I have my video editing station ready to go.

I found this thread via google, and I wanted to write this message to thank you people for archiving the installer and software discs for these cards. This will help my project greatly.

I got all 14 parts from post #20 in this thread by user 'Admin' and all files extracted properly with old version WinRAR v3.93 and I have the ISO and ready to go with my project now.

So looking good so far. This is probably the only place to find this software anywhere today.

NJRoadfan 03-28-2015 08:36 PM

Its tough finding older drivers for these cards, particularly the WDM capture driver kits. People seem to archive the main Catalyst packs, but the rest seem to be a 2nd thought. I'm working on trying to get my AIW X800 PCIe capturing video under XP 64-bit. The latest drivers on AMD's site are broken for video capture, so I'm hoping an older revision works. Finding said older revisions has been a challenge to say the least!

Will answer some recent unanswered posts as well. :thumb:

I've got a Radeon 4870x2, and wondering if this can capture video as well? It has a 9 pin S-video kindda looking slot, might you have some info on this card?
