I'm looking for suggestions on E-Mail encryption.
What I really want to do, is to use my gmail account as storage for important documents, software code I do at work, etc., but I don't want to keep it "Clear Text" on google's gmail servers.
So I'm looking for something simple and secure, that I can process a file before sending the E-Mail to myself at gmail, and I can later pick it up from work, etc and decode the files.
Maybe PGP
So if anyone has a good and easy solution, please let me know

But, I don't think Gmail provides POP3/SMTP support.
In that case it's not possible to use ThunderBird.
Or maybe I'm wrong on the POP3/SMTP thing.

Karl talk about sending himself an email. For that it has to use an email tool. Thunderbird is an email tool.

Or there is something I don't catch
