I just did a Full-Screen KVCDx3, I selected 3/4 DVD-full in FitCD, I selected 4:3 NTSC(525) in the output of Tmpeg, the source aspect ratio of Tmpeg automatically selected 1:1 VGA. The arrange method was full-screen (keep aspect ratio). The final mpeg output has tiny black bar on top and bottom (each is about 1/2 an inch to one inch). The sides (left and right) were OK, it filled up each side. Is it normal or I have done something wrong?

The source = VOB ripped from DVD, 29.97, NTSC, interlaced, 720x480

The input aspect should be "Full Screen", not "Full Screen (keep aspect )"
The aspect is already set by the AviSynth script.

Does this setting [full-screen, not full-screen(keep aspect)] apply to 16:9 widescreen DVD?

Yes it does. If you are doing a 16:9 movie, you will want to select anamorphic in FitCD if it is not already selected then select full screen in TMPGEnc.

To summarize the settings for a 16:9 movie:

in FITCD, anamorphic should be checked for the source file
if FITCD doesn't, set it manually

in TMPGENC, ASPECT RATIO is set 4:3 done by the avs-script
source aspect ratio is set 1:1 by avs script
video arrange mode is "Full screen" set by the avs script, if not set it to full screen manually

Is this correct?
