Hi friends of Video Encoding

When I encode with a 480x576 template or with the 528x576 codec (PAL here), and I set Blocks TV Overscan to 3 as recommended, of course I save a lot of space on my CD-Rs for better quality.
But watched on my TV Set (which is rather old), There's a small black bar on the right of the screen... Is it my TV Set? If it was the borders of 24, on each side, wouldn't the bar be seen on the left side too??

Well is there a compromise between Blocks TV Overscan 2 and 3?

when using 544 use 2 overscan blocks

When using 352 use 1 overscan block

I believe if you use 720 you can get away with 3 - but i've never tried it!

I never use more that 2 overscan blocks. 3 works on some TV's but not all. 2 works on all that I have tested. And yes, 352x use 1 and 480x or above, use 2.
