I 've tried to encode using TMPGEnc and the kvcd template but it says it will take about 10 hrs to encode.. Is that how long its suppose to take?? If not how do i cut down the time and is there any other encoders that will cut down on the time it takes to encode the movie..

depends on your system. On my Atlhon 1900xp, it take about 2hrs 30-3hrs for about a 1hr 30 movie depending on the amount of action in it.
if you've got a p3 or an old athlon then the time to encode sounds about right.
