Hi I'm the Encoder Master.
I have made templates by myself with the newest version of TMPGEnc.
The VCDs I've made are not bigger than normal VCDs but my have better Quality. I use the 2pass mode and not the CQ. With this feature
the video is like SVCD.
If someone want to have this template I can sent it by Mail or I give you
the options.
P.S.: You can also save 90 minutes Film on a 80 CD-R but the Audio Quality is a little bit poorer.

hello encoder master
with the ULBR Template we can fit 180 minutes of VCD-like video on a single 80min CD-R. that's twice as much as "CVCD"...

Thats nice encoder master. Maybe you should set up your own website and forum and bugger off there and leave us all alone!

They don't exist CVCD is just a name that was created by using VBR and x-pass, and then they called it "Compresses Video Compact Disk". That's it
There are no optimized matrixes or GOP's. Nothing

They call it so at the good old vcdsp.com. Actually cvcd or s-vcd (not svcd) is a standard called chaoji("super") or china video disk. It is almost like svcd. The subtitle format is different. That is why there are two different subtitle standards for svcd. The main difference between svcd and s-vcd/cvcd is that cvcd has ½D1 resolution(352*576/480).

No That is CVD. CVD is chaoji("super") or china video disk, which is not the same as CVCD

Yes, you are correct. I messed up with the terms. But still there is also como-vcd (babelfish:"like" vcd) which is know from now-closed vcdsp.com.
