Tried new version and an error pops up before cqmatic starts. It says the project is not a text project in tmpgenc. D2KCQmatic.exe is in the output folder.

Sorry for all the bugs in the plugin
I don't know why all you got all the errors, and not me
Magnus
When the videoencoding starts, the plugin shuold open TMPGEnc, save the project as an text project, and then start CQMatic.
So, can you check out that the text project file exsist? The filename should be TMPGEnc_Project_file_KVCD.tpr. If you open the file in notepad, you can read the text if it's a text project file.

I ran the plugin again and after it freezes and the the error comes up I checked both project files. "Tmpgenc_project_file.tpr" and "tmpgenc_project_file_kvcd.tpr" will open with notepad but when trying to open with cpmatic it says they are not text project files.

What kind version of TMPGEnc do you use???
OS???
Prosessor/RAM?
If you want, you can try to install AutoIt.
AutoIt is the program I made DVD2KVCD with, mayby the script will run better if you have it....??? Give it a try, those bugs are driving me crazy

Cqmatic is in c:\d2s and opens fine. The project files are placed in d:\movie workbench\dvd2svcd movie. It continues to say they are not text files and cannot be opened.

Does DVD2KVCD the "right things"?
This is what DVD2KVCD should do:
-First it should open TMPGEnc
-Then open Save dialog
-Enter path for the .tpr file
-Choose text project file
-Save
-Open CQMatic
-...

I believe it is doing everything correctly except saving the project as a regular project file instead of a text project file.

Hi Maas,
FYI: I have not been following this thread closely, but I did notice that you are using a bad version of TMPG. Version 2.59 has some nasty muxing bugs. In fact, it is the only recent version of tmpg that is NOT recommended to use. You should either downgrade to version 2.58 or else upgrade to any newer version higher than 2.59 (but you should probably get the most recent version, which is 2.521).
While I doubt that this is the source of your current problem, it still might give you grief later on if you don't upgrade!
Good luck,
-d&c

Did you end up with two .mpg/image files, end the last file was to big?
Did you use CQMatic, or DVD2SVCDs internal fileprediction?
If you use DVD2SVCDs internal fileprediction, you can goto encoder tab end lower the CQ value factor.
Hint: You can try (CDsize1 + CDSize2) / (file1 + file2) = CQ value factor

Any luck with the cqmatic problem. I don't think it is saving the project as a text file.

Can you tell me exactly where it goes wrong?
This is what DVD2KVCD should do:
Code:
1) First it should open TMPGEnc
2) Then open Save dialog (by pressing Ctrl + S)
3) Enter path for the .tpr file (by pressing Ctrl + C, the path is in your clipboard at this moment)
4) Choose text project file (by pressing TAB, then press 3 down, and 2 up again.
5) Save (by pressing ENTER)
-Open CQMatic
-...
Look at the "recipe", and tell me where it makes the fault, and maybe you can tell me alternative key presses to solve the problem.

Yes i also agree, get rid of the auto shutdown, i forget about it sometimes, and return to my PC and its off!
Another thing i noticed, with some skvcd's i make, the file prediction isnt working properly, and end file size is sometimes 690-700MB's.
Other than that, the program is working great! Thanks again Azel....

Well, sometimes I forget to uncheck it, and I belive that the computer should be shutdown, and it doesn't
I surely remove it in the next version.
You said that the program was working. So CQMatic works to?
Maybe I add an extra pass, if the filesize is below xx % of the calculated CD size.
If somebody are interested to develop the plugin, the source code is here. I made it with AutoIt, it's a easy to learn, and has a lot of functions!
