Hi guys,
I have to apologise to all of you about the minrate problem on (K)DVDs.
I've just found out that what I've been writing here is false on KDVDs while it's true for (S)KVCDs.
You see I bought my DVD burner not so long ago but after a few months of work and only a dozen
burns the DVD burner burnt
I took it to the store but they didn't have any more units available so I had to ask for a money return...
So since a few weeks ago I have been using a method I used in the 4th quarter of 2003.
That is cDVD which is actually a DVD structure burnt on a CD-R also known as miniDVD.
It happens that although my standalones don't like SKVCD so much, they play miniDVDs almost flawlessly.
And I just discovered that the only flaw this method has is it somehow makes the standalone think it's
reading XVCD (or something) and that's why I had a problem with minimum bitrates.
If it wasn't Karl alerting me to this while we were talking yesterday I'd still be here complaining about this so called bug.
Now, I wonder how/why others posted the same problem.
Could they be doing the same as me?
Sorry for bugging you guys with this issue.
Cheers

I didn't post I had the problem, but I was afraid it could be a problem. I also had the too low bitrate problem with KVCD, but still didn't test/have it in mencKDVD .
I still didn't see any of my last tests on standalone player and TV, just on PC. But from your experience I see that it won't be a problem in KDVD.
Thanx for your support.
