I have gone through some websites about HDTVs, I don't understand some terms. First of all, what does 1080i means? Is it used to describe the maximum resolution of the HDTV? What is the requirement on DVD players in order to utilize HDTVs? (Is progressive scan the only requirement?) What is the name of the connector(s) to connect progressive DVD players and HDTVs? By saying connector(s), I mean the output at the back of DVD players and HDTVs. Thanks!

Lastly, for viewing KVCDs (any kind of KVCDs), is there a huge difference between HDTVs and standard flat TVs (when viewing KVCDs)?
