I did 2 convertions a 23.9 and 29.9fps. Right now I don't have a PAL source to convert, but the only thing I changed is the vbv buffer to 40.
The method I described above only works...

Sorry forgot to mention that I used the KVCDx2-CQ-704x480-(NTSCFilm)-1CD template. :oops: sources were AVI and SVCD :oops:

I also have a Pioneer DV343. Have you tried this ???
There is a new option in the tmpgenc 2.58. You can create the video and the audio stream separately now (ES Video&Audio).
