Actually NTSC Film material is shot at 23.976fps, so your theory doesn't apply :wink: But the difference in the smoothness doesn't result from that (at least not in the simple way that 23.976<25).....

@shgr: Compare a film-origin (23.976fps pulldowned to 29.97fps) NTSC clip and a truly interlaced PAL clip and tell me which one looks smoother :lol:
