I don't know DVD-Lab, but many DVD authoring software, if you give it a mpg (muxed), it will demux it anyway,...

If you are doing KDVD you don't need to multiplex.
DVD authoring programs will take audio and video elementary streams (m2v, mp2 or ac3).
You can multiplex anyway to check A-V sync. In this case...
