It is reasonable to say that, x-pass is...

Well I'll run the test to see how close I can get in encoded filesize.
I must warn you guys, even if it was simple luck, I've reached less than 1% undersize several time with HC in (C)Q mode.

Hi Luis :),
I see your results look indeed interesting.
But I'm a little confused.
The 1% Ping+Pong gave you a 52.410KB result.
Then the 2% Ping / 2% Pong gave you a 52.045KB result.
I would not...

@Andrej
So is it mathematically prooven that 1% OPPPP is exactly the same as 2% usual methods?
Because I'm getting ready to try this tonight but if it's scientifically prooven that results are...

The usual method is accurate.
It is just innacurate when used with an encoder that doesn't fully respect the given commands.
That is what is happening with HC.
You give it the right Q figure but...

Wait, there no reason why his tool wouldn't be accurate doing ping-pong ping-pong ping-pong.
It just meant that it would take more time that's all.
You really should think if it's wise to share...

Yep, I get it :).
I had noticed that slicer had a very small tendecy to oversize.

Thanks for pointing out my mistake.

Ok what I've always done is for instance:
ping=27619KB
pong=28066KB
(28066-27619)/28066
So actually I've been doing (b-a)/b :lol:
But that's just because usually "b" has a higher KB value than...

@Pro,
Only changing the GOP multiplier value will give you different sample sizes.
That's how this function is supposed to work.
