IF even at Video only input that problem occurs than your source is flawed! IMHO!
Tell me about it ... means resolution mpeg1/2 ... CBR/VBR (Look at it using Bitrateviewer!) ... FPS ... etc etc etc...

Thats really strange that "mencoder" reports that!
As I set to mencoders commandline a -nosound parameter, so the soundtrack will be ingnored. Therefore (IMHO) you got a strange DVD VOB "Video"...

Maybe its because Besweet/Azid as default only...
Maybe its because Besweet/Azid as default only accepts AC3/PCM as input ... I dont know if a mpa import filter for besweet is used.
That would be a "ToDo" for the future as I want to get AzidDTS...
