Hi thanks for your reply, i think something was wrong with the source, i've been encoding using 544x480 i haven't tried 704x480 again, but i'll try it again with a dvd source, my player supports 48...

it was a different source, they were both avi's, i used avisynth2.5 with the test and 2.08 with the movie so it was two different optimal scripts for both version, i thought that was the reason but...

704x480 resolution worked on my DVD player

I did a test encode about 2 min to check if 704x480 resolution worked on my DVD player and it did, then i did a whole movie and it didn't work it gave me a weird picture, i didn't do anything...
