I tried this method. but should I be closing TMPGENC - after it tried to convert the file, so cqmatic can start predicitng the next file? I tried your method and only 10 mins of the first file was...

if I click on shutdown after finishing encoding,...

if I click on shutdown after finishing encoding, does it shutdown after encoidng 1 file, or will it shutdown after finishing all the files in the list?

ohhh.... so tmpgenc will remember the cq calculated for that tpr? and its okay to close cqmatic and start it up again for a new project?

CQ prediction method

Is it possible you use the final CQ result found by CQmatic in manual prediction? so you can do a batch encode... I don't know how to word this.
