I had bought a CyberHome CH-DVD 300, the other day and had trouble playing some of the 528x480 resolution discs I had made. I took it back in exchange for a Philips DVP 642 player, but as I feared, they are impossible to find right now.
I bought the Pioneer DV-270, and so far it has played everything I have thrown at it. I have tested the KVCDx3-MPEG-1-NTSCFilm.mcf and the KVCD-CQ-352x240-_NTSCFilm_-PLUS.mcf templates, and everything played perfectly. It also plays VCD and SVCD without trouble, and even played a few mini-DVD's I had made a while back. Might be my imagination, but the video quality looks much better than what I was getting with the CyberHome. Once again, I am amazed at how good these KVCD's look
I paid $69.00 for it at Wal Mart.
