THat's what I thought. I never trash any electronics myself. I just never did stock pile VHS machines.

If you share in this same philosophy, I'll come to you for whatever parts my JVC needs. :)...

To the best of my knowledge...no...it never has been worked on. But I bought it in '13, and the unit has been out a long time. So who knows about those sort of things.

That's way out of my league...

I connected to the Linear output...and it still doesn't work. No audio there either. :(

Well actually, Blackout had mentioned the "hold down the power button for 7 seconds" in this very same thread earlier on (first post). I don't think he would recommend to do if it would damage...

Hey guys. After a bit of reading in here, I've come to the conclusion that I want to purchase a Pana 1980 machine or a JVC SR/HR series machine.
