I have done a VHS capture using Huffy in YUY2 and the capture looks fine in Virtualdub but looks posterized through avisynth. Even when I convert to RGB, the color looks bad.

I need to use avisynth because the IVTC function works much better than either one in VDub and TMPGEnc.

Any ideas?

Maybe you need to add ConvertToYUY2() to your .avs script

Thanks, I tried that but the problem persisted. In the end, I renamed the msyuv.dll file and now TMPGEnc works perfectly. Virtualdub, however still has a problem. I'll work on VDub later but for now, its working.

BTW, my processing times are down from 14 hours(VDub + TMPGEnc) to 4 hours (AVISynth+TMPGEnc).
