I use Slide Show Movie Maker 3.5.2 http://www.joern-thiemann.de/tools/ to make MJPEG or Huyff slide shows with BMP, JPG, etc. You an define duration of each slide by frame which is very cool. Then I encode into VCD with Avisynth at very fine quality.

I am still very interested in any other way to use jpg with avisynth.

Cheers.

Wow, cool!! This is exactly the kind of program I've been searching for- thanx a lot for that link What I'd been doing before is make a canvas size of 352x240 with Photoshop and then paste a jpeg to it and stretch it to size. Then I'd load the jpeg into TMPGEnc with the LBR template set the max bitrate to 300 and load the wav file and set audio to 256kbps. Then set external audio encoder to tooLAME and fit around 30 mp3 to a cd and have pics too!

Now with this cool proggy Slide Show Movie Maker I can apply a spatial smoother to the jpegs so they look better Trying to figure out how to set a custom duration though
