Hi,

Blockbuster sharpen method : i've seen you do not use it anymore, why ?

I encode @480x576, is it still necessary or not ?

It really depends on the source. I still use it myself now and again.

I don't use it on resolutions higher than standard vcd resolutions as I think the picture is sharp enough and I can do without the added noise and size. If the source is too soft, (particularly after applying the smoothing filters) then I use it then to enhance the picture quality.

I do use the "noise" method of blockbuster for 'darker' movies. I can't thank Sansgrip enough for that one! :yippie:
