whenever i try to use filters such as temporalcleaner, convolution3d, or dustv5, TMPGEnc always says i need an iSSE capable CPU which i do not have . i got a pentium celeron 500 mhz cpu and can only use MMX. my question is if there is any way to get around this, and if not, what would be the next best filters i can for things such as noise reduction and such. thanks a bunch!

celeron 500 mhz cpu , sorry, don't even think about it
You'll be looking at 2+ days encoding per movie. You really need at least a P3 @1Ghz, and that is still slow.

but is there any good way for noise reduction under my circumstances or am i crap outta luck . right now i'm trying to encode from a anime source that has quite a bit of noise. should i stick with temporalsmoother, fluxsmooth, ? what's the best basic noise reduction filter i can get my hands on under my conditions? thanks again kwag.

You can try SansGrip's filters NoMoSmooth and FluxSmooth. They are very fast. Convolution3D and Dust (SpaceDust, PixieDust and FaeryDust )are out of the question for your CPU

ok sorry i got one more question. how would i go about loading a MPEG1 into avisynth. I read somewhere that you can use mpegdecoder.dll but i still havent been successfull in doing so. directshow is utterly slow. i tried dvd2avi but it wont save it correctly. so now i'm stuck with just a .mpg or a .m1v and have no clue on how to go about loading this into avisynth. thanks again kwag.

If you have a "souce" anime in .mpeg format, just burn it to a vcd or a scvd ( depends if your source it's a mpeg1 ( VCD ) or a mpeg2 ( SVCD ) ).

The main concept in the KVCD is to make a conversion from a source ( .d2s or . avi ) in a mpeg format ( .m1v or .m2v or .mpg ) to make a VCD or SVCD.

If you have a file in the mpeg format, you don't need to make a conversion, just use vcdeasy or nero, load your file and make your VCD.

i understand that but the thing is that the resolution of the current mpeg is not of multiples of 8, some dude just put it together quickstyle. i tried burning it but because of the messed up resolution it came out funky. so i'd like to re-encode it into a suitable resolution and using avisynth filters(352x240).
