Hi all script Gurus,

I have been reading the forum now for quite a while, and have been eagerly waiting for my new PC, (which I now have), to try all this KVCD/script stuff.

I ran a prediction in CQMatic of the Matrix to fit on 2 Cd's. It gave me a final CQ of 82.19, and I have to say that the picture quality looked very good, although I have not tried it on my DVD player yet.

That was without any filters, so I decided to try the MA script imagining that the result would be awesome.

I decided to run it through VDub, to give me an instant result, but alas I have the same problem as J-Wo in this thread for which he didn't get an answer.

Can anybody throw any light on this, as I know most people swear by the MA script?

Thnx

No answer because it's just an artifact caused by vdub for the preview. Not really a problem so we focused our efforts elsewhere.

Thnx Dialhot for the quick reply.

Ok, so I'll try running the script through CQMatic prediction and see what happens.

BtW: With the latest script you'll be able to fit "The Matrix" on one CD-R with a decent quality. I backuped that one about 6 months ago using the optimal Script for AviSynth 2.08 and the quality is still great.

To be quite honest, I couldn't tell the difference between the sample created with the script and the one that wasn't.

But that was only on my PC as neither worked on my DVD player

It's hard to make a decent 2h movie on a CD with static script while it's quite easy with MA script. With a 1h40 movie, that's true taht you can use both of them.
That is the difference.

That's right. MA script truly shines when it comes to compression of a LONG movie and might not really make visible differences in shorter films.
