before I even capture from VCR when there is red green appears in the red, anyone know why?

but seriously, why am I gettin green in parts of the red in the preview box and finished avi capture file.

I use morgan mjpeg codec but it doesn't look like its down to the codec, the fact that it shows in the preview window before I have even captured.

do you have any divx codex installed like the nimo codec pack etc...
any windows media player 9 or its codec?

What OS are you using? Do you off-hand if you're using vfw or wdm for capture (as a video driver)?. What direct X version? Which capture board/video card?

Have you by chance tried another vcr, another tape?
If you capture from a camcorder or tv or from dvd, does it behave the same way?

Do you have any type of adobe gammas and the correct drivers for the monitor installed?

I have winxp, vfw no nimo codecs I have divx mpeg-4 low and high motion codecs, latest direct x, hauppauge pci card.

no I have not tried capturing form another tape or vcr casue its a lot of messin about to get another to my room.

sorry it took time, I just forgot to take the screengrab but here it is. I also noticed it in wintv program as well when I tuned my card in via the program.
