Now I understand why you have this avatar. Sorry, I have only two eyes and can't read more than 2 windows at the same time

But seriously, with FF I always browse forums (like kvcd) by opening a tab for each new message posted since my last visit. So sometimes I have more than 30 tabs opened. Then I answer to each message... never have any problem (and I use to do that since Netscape 6). It's weird...
A very handy extension for tabs is the TAB MIX PLUS:

https://addons.mozilla.org/extension...fo.php?id=1122

You can even expand the "only" default row in firefox. If you open a lot of tabs, this may be useful.

Nevertheless I still picks up with Opera. The Fast (actually instantly! back;forward) is very very useful! Never saw it on any olther browser!

And now, opera is freeware!

EDIT: a very useful tool:

firetune for firefox

best regards

Both yours two tips were great: I've downloaded both FireTune for Firefox and new Opera. I had a gain in speed using FireTune and new Opera is really fast with my ADSL connection and Backward/Forward buttons work really nice.

Thank you so much for these great tips

Cya!

No problems

So. To be more clear. Some TAB MIX PLUS features:

1- The close button on each tab:

2- Tabs fits their contents:

3- The Multi-row:

4- Lock/Protect tab -> nothing can change it! All links opens in new tabs and also it prevents you from closing it accidentally!

Since the guys here recommended FF to me I just can't go back to the far inferior IE, FF rocks and I love the tab browsing especially when browsing on forums and opening each new thread in its own tab.

@sparskter

Thanks for the info about that TabMix Plus add-on I shall add that to my browser I like the way you can close each tab without having to make it activet.

Meanwhile I heard about Maxthon. This is a GUI lying on IE that supports tab browsing also. For people who don't want to go to FF :
http://www.maxthon.com/

And other thing : a FF plugin that allow to use... windows update !
http://windowsupdate.62nds.com/
(works on XP, seems to crash on win2000).

First question : why should it be illegal ?
Second : Read the disclamer at the end of the site homepage

Who cares .
BTW can you tell me which feature to enable in Tab Mix Plus in order to see the (X) close button in all the tabs?
My tabs are not appearing with a close button besides the one that FF already has on the right side.
TIA
Cheers
