How to Make a KDVD?

Hello, I just wanted to know a few things:

1. How can I make a kDVD?

2. Is there a program that does it automatically?

3. Can I fit three movies with their menus, languages and extras?

4. Is kDVD compatible with all DVD players or just the newest ones?

Please help me, I'm trying to put all three Lion King movies on one DVD+R but I just don't know how to start. Also have in mind that I'm a newbie and would appreciate the simplelest guides with details. Thanks.

Any MPEG encoder that can encode MPEG-2, and can accomodate a custom matrix, can encode KDVD.

Well, with extras, I think you'll fit maybe 2 movies. We usually fit 3 movies, but only the movie without menus or extras.

You can start by reading some of the guides on the main page at www.kvcd.net
Look on the right side, under articles.
Once you know the basics, you can apply the methods on the guides, so you can do KDVDs.
I usually fit 3 movies on each DVD-R, or an average of ~5 hours, with no visual difference to the original DVD.
Or you might want to put many TV episodes on one DVD-R, and then you encode at a lower resolution like 352x240(28 MPEG-1 or MPEG-2, and you can fit about 15+ 45 minute episodes on one DVD-R

KDVD is compatible with all players but the player must read dvd-r (or whatever media you use) of course (most do).

A little off topic but if a player won't play 528x480 as vcd or svcd will it play it as kdvd with that resolution

I know just test but as of the moment i do nat have any dvd rw(should just run out and get some)

I ask because i have a cyberhome 300 which the picture always seems to be jumpy on anything higher then standard vcd resolution ,i have tried waht everyone says by switching it from ntsc to pal and back to ntsc but it won't go away

It can, there is no relation between the two.
What makes the standalone to be "jumpy" with your KVCD can just be limitation in the software used to decode the video : the designers never thought that they should have to decode VCD (or SVCD) with such parameters and just decide to invoke an error. Even if the player would have been abble to play them

In DVD mode, the software is not the same. So anything can arrive...
