Just wanted to say that i did my first dvd backup with dvd rebuilder and Sansgrip's version of RB-OPT and all i can say is WOW.
The earlier error i reported didn't seem to effect anything and it was a little undersized(4.03 gb) but the picture is just as good as the original
The only thing that when i hit the next chapter arrow it throws the sound out of sync.
BTW this is An Episode dvd which is also a hybrid of ntsc and ntsc film, haven't watched the whole thing but so far all is good
edit-After watching most of the dvd it does seem to go out of sync ever so slightly

Does anyone have a download link to DVD Rebuilder? The Doom9 forum is down...
And to all other tools, please, for this (apparently) excellent way of making KDVDs

DVD-RB doesn't use DVD2AVI, it just generates a DVD2AVI-compatible D2V file for Mpeg2Dec to read. The generated D2V file uses "top field first, no repeat first field" for every frame, so field order issues are no longer relevant.
P.S. I've been away for a few days, sitting on the beach reading. I see you guys have been busy .

I don't understand then why my first try with the tool generated avs scripts with a line "FieldDeinterlace(blend=false")
Then I forced the deinterlace to "not use" on the VTS_01 and all was okay.

I watched this again and noticed when the auido goes out of sync it seems to come back in sync but then out again for the whole dvd
Now being that is so slight i am wondering if its because its a hybrid film(ntsc and ntsc film)
any ideas

For sure that is not the ideal situation.
I didn't actually watch the whole DVD I encoded with DVD-RB so I probably missed this problem if it is present. Can you please tell us if you have this with other DVD you did (or will do) ?

OK second movie and i got this again but with different numbers
Code:
cce encoding failed:OPV VBV OVF frame #43910:00:18:09)I 60212 max 5984259 rel 360.41.01 qsv 28.88-.28.88
2 movies and 2 error messages , not a good start
is this a problem with CCE or dvd rebuilder
I have been using CCE with dvd2svcd and DIKO with no problems so that makes me believe its dvd rebuilder

I don't know if it's been mentioned earlier in this thread but is it possible to keep the DVD menus when encoding with DVDRebuilder and CCE?

Hi Audioslave i could be wrong but i think that is the whole purpose of dvd rebuilder to keep the dvd in tact
hopefully Sansgrip will be back soon to shed some light

@bigggt
Hi! Yes, that's what I suspect too
I just bought myself a 250 GB hard drive so now I'm really excited to get home from work and start trying out DVD Rebuilder The only reason I didn't try this method earlier was due to my lack of hard drive space.

Hmm...
I have ripped the entire DVD and pointed DVDRB to that directory. I have also made a "working directory" (empty folder) for DVDRB to use. And when I'm trying to run OPV prediction (in RB-Opt) it says "Error enumerating directory F:\XXX"... What am I doing wrong? Help me out here guys, please
