Svcd are MPEG2 that is not read internally by TMPGENC 2.58.

Upgrade to 2.520 or 2.521 that include an handler for MPEG2. Or try to increase the priority of the directshow handler in the VFAPI tab of the settings (but you need to have a MPEG2 codec installed on your PC, like Ligos one)

Two Questions
1 how do I increase priority?
2 Where can i get codec from?

Go in "Environnemental settings" then in "VFAPI plug-in" tab.
Find the "Directshow Multimedia File" line and check the box. Then right click on the line and select "higher priority". Process like this until the priority for this line is 1 or above.

www.codec-download.com

(you can use the ACE Codec Pack in "Player" version - the Pro installs far too much codecs).
