Look for FitCD. It does not offer all features of Moviestacker but can be used.

Is FitCD still being developed? The reason I ask is I can't understand why it's author hasn't tried to bring it up to MovieStacker's level and maybe try to improve on MS itself.

Im sure he will and when we least expect it.

I think if a new version of MS did come out it would be awesome.

Hi guys ,
Last Xmas I exchanged a couple of emails with Ademar.
He told me he had lost quite a lot of his work because his PC's harddrive had broken and he didn't have any (recent) backup.
He promised he would go back to MS project one day but he didn't tell me when.
It's been 5 months since then...
So I think that for the moment being FitCD is our only way.
I'm sure Ademar won't disapoint us but we'll have to give him sometime.
Also, FitCD will never do that extra mile to reach Moviestacker because Shh has another tool more close to the features of MS, but that one you have to pay.
Cheers

Hi Rui,

Out of interest do you know off-hand if the paid version is worth the money? I'd hate to pay for it espect it to be as good as MS and be disappointed.

Does anyone use the paid version and can they advise of how good it is? Thanks.

Hi Zyphon ,
The paid version's name is Fit2Disc and it just has a video preview panel along with extra 4 or 5 AVS filters.
It looks like it is miles, lot's of miles, away from Moviestacker.
Cheers

Hi Zyphon ,
I take it that you don't have a copy of the latest MS version otherwise you wouldn't be so desperate for a new one, right?
Because if you did get a copy of it in time before it was removed from the downloads, you can use it as you wish.
Only newcomers won't find it available for download.
Well, at least not here at kvcd.net.
That's why we started to talk a bit more about FitCD when MS dl link was removed.
FitCD is available for download (and for free) and that way we give newcomers an easy way of manually resizing their movie without knowing a single line of Avisynth code scripting
That is, while we wait for Ademar to present us a new release of MS
Cheers

Hi Rui,

No you misunderstand me, I do have the latest and last release of MS (I was one of the lucky ones. ) before it got removed and its awesome!

I just wanted to know about the paid version of FitCD you said it that was close to MS features I just wanted to know if anyone has actually paid Shhh for upgraded FitCD and how good is it compared to the last MS. I would wager not as good as MS.

Hi Zyphon ,
As to the amount of money he has made with Fit2Disc I don't really know.
But in terms of features is wayyyyyy behind of what you get with MS.
Let's say it is just a small step ahead of FitCD because it has the preview panel.
So not having MS around is a big lost for the video encoding community especially the newcomers.
Cheers
