I'm not real sure which forum to put this in so I'll just say it here. I download this new program called DVD to DivX. It rips, encodes, and does all that stuf into DivX format automaticall. All you do is put the disc in, click rip and in only five hours you have a complete DivX file.. The picture and sound quality is amazing!!! It looks like a real DVD. So my question is, if i encode the ripped DivX with TMPGENC, will it look bad ike kwag says in his FAQ?

If the DivX produced is of a very high quality, you will get good results when you convert it to MPEG. But the DivX must be of a very high bit rate, and absolutely block free. Usually a 720x480 DivX with a bit rate of +3,000Kbps is excelent. Make sure you're using the new DivX 5.02 CODEC.
