KVCD with Two Audio Streams?

I want to encode my movies with 2 audiostreams using the KVCD-CQ-352x288-(PAL)-PLUS Template.

I can't burn them as an VCD because my Player refuses to switch to the 2nd audio stream (I muxed the stream using tmpg as a non-standart-vcd and burned using nero). So the movie is playing as if there wasn't a 2nd stream.

When I burn them as an SVCD (nero) I can switch to the 2nd audio stream and I've also got a picture. But from time to time the sound is "stuttering" (sth. is just left out). I encoded the audio in CBR mode.

Any solution???

I guess switching to MPEG2 would make video quality worse?!

Hi Razorblade2000,

You can't have two audio streams on VCD. You can have them on a SVCD (SKVCD ).
Try SKVCD template, which already produces MPEG-2, and burn as SVCD. I believe you'll like the quality that it creates.

Yes I can! As I said: mux the mpeg as an SVCD and burn it! Only the stuttering is the problem.

Quality is great @all the templates

But for 1 CD I need MPEG1

Hi Razorblade2000,

You can try to encode as MPEG2 @ 352x288.
Just don't forget to up the maxbitrate to 2300...2500.
I never did that, but... it could work.

No way! My first idea worked...
I simply muxed with bbmpeg (as SVCD) instead of tmpeg and it worked!!! I have MPEG1 Video but 2 audio streams!!!

(Burned using VCDEASY... or was it Nero... Ooops... I forgot)

In the beginning and every 15 minutes of the movie there is some stuttering...
