Hi,
I have a bunch of movies and TV series that I have downloaded and need to put on disc. Almost all of these movies are at 352x240. I've tried many different settings in TMPGEnc and tons of templates to try to get the best quality possible. It's to the point now that I can't tell the difference anymore. They're all blocky. I know I'm starting handicapped with that 352x240 resolution.

Which of the KVCD templates would you reccommend?
I'm looking for the best quality possible. Most of the TV shows are about 25 min. so 60 min. per disc is fine.

Also, obviously I'm going to be keeping the resolution at 352X240. Should I use mpeg=1 or mpeg-2 to encode the video? what are the differences?

Thanks a ton,

Your targets will never be better than your source. The best you can do is that your copy will be close to the original. Because your sources are 352x240, there's no sense in encoding higher than that. Take the KVCD LBR and set the CQ_VBR value to around 50, and encode your videos. That's about the best you can do. Expect your quality about the same as your source.

File size The higher the number the better the visual quality of the output mpeg, but the file size grows larger.
