Hi Razorblade2000,

The current GOP is 1-12-2-1-24.
What you'll see in the templates is ( 1-5823-2-1-24 ) which actually means 1-(KVCD)-2-1-24. The 5823 is just there as a KVCD signature. Look at your telephone keypad and you'll see what I mean . It really doesn't matter what value is in there, because the last value (24) is what determines the length of the GOP. All templates on the download page were updated with the new GOP.

This guy(or gal) brings up an interesting point, which I wonder if anyone could answer. The first KVCD(352X240) with old GOP structure(1-5823-3-1-4 caused my Apex 500w sync problems (speeding up and slowing down occasionally). That is why I was thrilled with the new KVCDs that came out in November with the new GOP structure (1-5823-2-1-1, because the sync problems stopped. Now even with the 1-36-3-1-36 GOP structures still no problem. Will the new 1-12-......GOP cause problems for the APEX models ? And what is it about the GOP that affects playing KVCDS?

Hi LadyMiles,

If you didn't have problems with a GOP size of 36, you shouldn't have any problems with 24
