Hi there!
I´m a little experienced in S/VCDs but totally new to KVCD
I have a slight problem: I want to get two epsiodes of "Babylon 5" on 1 CD (2x43 Minutes) and thought this could be done with the KVCD x2 Template. But no matter which Template/Setting I use, the Output of 1 Episode is always 435 MB.
I´ve been browsing this Board for a while and thought I was informed, but now nothing works as expected:
I use FitCDs Script
LoadPlugin("C:\fitcd02\MPEG2DEC.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\fitcd02\blockbuster.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\fitcd02\sampler.dll")

AviSource("G:\2x02.avi")
BicubicResize(320,512,1/3,1/3,6,0,468,352)
Blockbuster(method="sharpen", detail_min=20, detail_max=90, strength=
AddBorders(16,32,16,32)

in TMPg, load the Templates and encode...435 MB for 1 Epsiode.
So I changed the CQ-Factor from 31 to 21 and encode...435 MB.
This happened using the KVCDx2 with 352x576.
Curious, I now used FitCD again and went for the x3-Template.
Again 435 MB with a CQ-Factor of 28 and 21.
Now I´m quite confused... I thought changing the CQ-Factor was the Way to change the Filesize, am I wrong?
Thanx for your Help

What version of TMPEnc are you using?
Version 2.59 has a file size problem so try and get 2.58 if you can.

Also, make sure that the stream type is set to ES (video only).

Always one step ahead of the rest of us!

Has anyone tried the new version for the file size issue?

Yeah, me
Thought better upgrade to .10 than downgrade to .3

Works fine for me, no problems so far, just fitted 170 Mins of 352x576 on a CD with the .10

So long

BTW: Thx Kwag for those Templates...work like a charm
