I have some mpegs that I want to run through with some off Sansgrip`s filters via Avisynth, how do I get avisynth to recognise my mpeg

You can use MPEGDecoder.dll. Do a search for it on Doom9 and you should find a message by a guy called Nic. You'll see his web site in his sig .

I tried that , thanks for the info, strange thing the d2v file created is wrong because it doesn`t display the true time off the mpeg file so when re-encoding it only encodes the set time.

Apparently there's a problem with the d2v file it creates for MPEG-1 files. He says he's fixing it, so watch out for a new version.

To open an MPEG1 you don't need to use MPEGDecoder.dll.

You can just use DirectShowSource() and have the Windows filters decode it.

This doesn't work for me. Probably some codec issue that I'll get around to investigating eventually .
