i have a pioneer dvd player dv-434 and sometimes when it's playing the kvcd, the audio goes choppy for about 2 seconds (the video is fine). it plays fine on windows media 8 though.

i used the 352x240 template (120 min) and it was a dvd that i ripped. what could be the problem cuz i didnt mess with any of the templates settings?

thanks.

Hi mugen,

You probably didn't set "Force FILM" in DVD2AVI when you ripped it, so you encoded at 23.976fps the "Telecined" video that is 29.97.
Normally, you would select "Force FILM, and then use the templates with the default frame rate.

in claddvd, there was some kind of video setting that says something about Field Operation - Force Film. do i use that setting too? or does Force Film only work with dvd2avi? sorry i'm still pretty new to this, so if i use Force Film, it'll be encoded in 29fps and the audio wont be choppy when played on a standalone dvd player? just curious, why does my pc dvd-rom play the kvcd without audio hiccups?

thanks alot for your help kwag!

Hi mugen,

If you set "Force FILM", you encode at 23.976. Not at 29.97. Also, I suggest you try using DVDDecrypter. It's the best ripper
Use DVD2AVI version 1.76 for your project file.
