Hi Kwag.

I just downloaded the "KVCDx3 mpeg1 NTSC.mcf" template and saw that the settings resolution can't be changed.
I never know that, using TOK I didn't look there. Now, using the CQMATIQ method (better, the "do all the job, lazy boy" method ), I was trying to change the KVCx3 resolution from 528x480 to 544x480, but it was greyed. How can i enable these changes?
Sometime ago, I saw something about a "KVCDx3 1a version" for 544x480 resolution, is it true? If so, where is it?

Another question: Do you think that should I change all my templates to Motion Estimation Fast? And wouldn't be a good idea to change it on the originals, at the KVCD templates location?

Thanks

Hi labomba,

I haven't had the time to change the templates to the current settings. I'll see if I can do that soon. In the meantime, you should set the MAX bitrate on your templates to 2,000Kbps, and the MIN will be calculated for each movie as (0.57 * average bitrate). And set the motion search precision to "Motion estimate search".
To unlock the template values, click settings and click right over the words "Size", "Aspect ratio" or "Frame rate", etc., and you'll get a "Lock, Unlock" options. Then you can make your changes, and save your template.

Hi, Kwag.

Thanks my friend, as always.

Another thing, don't bother with the templates changes. Anyone can change it, and resave the .mcf file. Your time must be better used, with the CQmatic enhancement, for example .
