trying to decode a divx .avi NTSC with tmpgenc tried with normal dvd ntsc template and the kdvd dvd full template hangs at 100% each time i cancel it play the movie and its jerky as hell what i need to do i adjusted settings media reader to 2 anyone got ant answers thanks

managed to finish this time put some more settings up to 1 ect in enviroment settings only problem picture is still jerky
here are the divx file info
codec divx 4 low motion
fps 23,976
resolution 640x272

this was using the kdvd full template
i changed one setting on it were it was
aspect ratio 16:9
i changed to 1:1 vga
this wouldn't cause it would it
also this occurrs while playing via pc

also windows media player would not play the file


also tried load mpg2 in spruce up aurthoring tool it would just hang at 99%

im pulling me hair out

Try moving the direct show to +1 first. then decode the audio from your divx file with avi 2 vcd or something like that, and finally encode with the kdvd full template with the aspect ratio at default. This solved all my problems, and believe me I had lots after waiting 6-10 hours on an encode just for it not to work. Doing this has proved very efective with divx.

Just noticed this, I think you need to run divx fix through this file first because it looks like its a bad un

just ran divfix on the divx file i use toolame with tmpgenc what i do is extract the audio to wav uncompressed (pcm) with virtual dub then let toolame encode via tmpgenc is that ok to use this way for the audio?
