hello all.very new to kvcd.using weethet method to convert avi to kvcd.worked first time, nearly.video quality is fine as is audio.when played back in a stand alone dvd player(tried in 5 different models)images are stretched.ie-circles become elipses .height seems to have increased.tmg says its a 352x288 pal.avi was created from vobs using mpeg mediator.this file plays perfectly in correct resolution(16.9)again 352x288.on pc,using bs player, the kvcd file(or disc)can be set manually to 16.9.but does not do this on dvd players tried.used kvcd 352x288 pal plus template.i just noticed, when avi conversion is first started in tmpg,it is apparent that the height of the preview is too high.what am i doing wrong please. thanks.

Hi. dodler!

Just a question: when you convert your avi in mpeg1 with tmpgenc, do you set the aspect ratio to 16:9? If not so, maybe this is the problem!

Bye!

What are your Aspect Ratio Settings, and what resizing values did you use? Please post your script and TMPGEnc Settings.
BtW LupoFabri: VCDs and SVCDs are meant to be encoded as 4:3 not 16:9.
