I've being using 'KVCD From scratch ? A Users guide v1.1' a while for now and i'm wondering why it tells us to use dvd2avi 1.76 and not the latest version. I've being using v1.77.3 but don't know what the difference is, can someone tell me why the guide needs to use 1.76?
And one more thing, when i use version 1.77.3 instead of converting the audio to wav and then encoding it into mp2 with headache, i demux the audio and then i encode with headache which i find much quicker to do. Is there any difference in these two methods?

Thanks alot!

Because the guide has not been updated in a while

What you are doing, is the correct way to do it

Thanks alot for the reply. But i got one more question. Is the quality different when i resample the 48kHz audio down with dvd2avi with ultra high then when i do it with headac3he.

And when the admin said the method i was doing was right. Which method gives me the better sound, the wav to mp2, or the demux and then to mp2.

Don't resample
Just demux.

Demux (which means extract the AC3 audio) and then encode to mp2, is better than extracting to WAV, and then encoding to .mp2, because you're actually converting from AC3->WAV and then to mp2 instead of just converting AC3->MP2.
