This method works for me, it worths a try. Uninstall any existing version of AviSynth first, then install AviSynth--2.08 (Yes! I say 2.08 ) to see if you can load .avs in Tmpeg. If it is OK, then uninstall AviSynth--2.08 and install AviSynth--2.52 or higher. Everything should work fine by then.
I guess Tmpeg needs something in version 2.08 which 2.52 does not have it, and I guess when we uninstall 2.08, something is left behind in the computer which is essential for frameserving. Have fun!
