As a Newbie i have done a few KVCD's now and am quiet pleased with the result. There is one thing however that I have not been able to accomplish and was wondering if some of the more knowledge able members could advise me on the following please. My question is what would I have to include in the Avisynth 2.0 optimal script to get back ups made from original 16:9 anamorphic DVD's to encode as a full screen KVCD. I know a lot of people dont like this but I personally dont like the broad horizontal line format and would like to watch my encoded KVCD movies at full screen ratio.
Any helpfull advise would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve.

Load your d2v file in FitCD and crop from the left and right until the real aspect is 1.3333. Write the values and include in the script the following line after loading the source:
Crop(left_FitCD_value,0,-right_FitCD_value,-0)
Of course left_FitCD_value and right_FitCD_value should be the values you have from FitCD. You should use 2 CD's to have decent quality and you loose 1/3 from the picture. Good luck.

@blubear,

Try Moviestacker (an very enhanced FitCD) with built-in avs script
builder. Converting widescreen to fullscreen without pan-and-scan will
chop off parts of the left-and-right of the screen. This will lose in
some cases important parts of the frame. It's easier and
better to get a fullscreen source to begin with

Errm,
Guys: Moviestacker is a very nice tool and very helpful when resizing and keepin AR but unfortunately it has been removed for download, not even PMing Kwag anymore.
This will be for an indetermined amount of time while Muaddib fixes his code because of GPL licensing issues.
So this way Blubear will only have FitCD as an option for now.
I'm sure Muaddib will fix everything soon and Blubear will enjoy using Moviestacker for resizing AR and scripting.
Cheers all
