I am quite sure you can find plenty of information about resizing using AviSynth in it's own forum http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=9 .
Have you tried there?
If you don't want to burn your eyes I'll give you a hint: don't use GripFit in your script as it seems that makeAVIS is very sensible with it.
Use moviestacker or fitcd tools to make a good resizing without GripFit(GripCrop/GripSize/GripBorders).
In the end you'll see it's not that difficult.
If you find some problems post it at the AviSynth forum and we'll give you some help.
Cheers

Yes it is but the true job is done elsewhere.
A true frameserver is AviSynth and he's the one that does the job.
makeAVIS is only used when some encoders don't like AviSynth scripts and that's why we use it with mencoder.
Make some small bit of researching on your own at the AviSynth forum.
Post there your questions about resizing with it.
Come back to the Mencoder forum when you got that straightened out.
Cheers

Hi KYUSS!

Well in the case of avisynth import your "wanted" information is not really packshot based
As an avisynth input via Makeavis is a generic way to feed an encoder (no matter which one) who doesnt accept directly avs files.

So do open your avi in FitCD, determine you target size and safe that aviynth script generated by that appl.
Afterwards you can enter easely that script and add some filters etc.

I would like to suggest "directly" going into makeavis using Dialhots optimal script, but that one uses Gripfit and that filter is not compatible with Makeavis.
So do use Dialhots optimal script and change the Gripfit lines using the Resizing lines of the FitCD output.

Or use directly that FitCD outputted avs and convert that one using makeavis ... where you just go into packshot using that "resizing only containing" avs/AVI, where u use then the filters of mencoder in packshot.

Go into these Appl. an if you still end up with questions, just ask.

Inc.

EDIT: Uops!!! I didnt see that RDS also was in here ... I should update the "Visit last unread posts" button more often
