best settings n template for...

dvd movie, 2 hours 35 mins long... want good quality n on 2 discs not one, becuz tht is just not good enough for me

so a 2 disc kvcd or ksvcd to hold 2 hours 35 mins...

btw i normally use dvd2svcd using the kvcd plugin..

any help would be most appreciated...

A quick thinking will give you the answer : 2h35 os 2 disc = 1h17 on one disc.

With that you can use any settings you want, the result can't be bad. But as you don't any ANYTHING about your source, we can tell you more.

i tried the 576x480 x3 template

got a cq of 60 sommet, quite low

so any ideas?

If you have a low CQ choose a lower resolution like 480x480 or 352x480. You will see the CQ gets higher, because of unsharper pictures but the Quality is also realy good.

Did you use AviSynth? If not it's very good to get a higher CQ because of picture preparing and delete some noise if you movie which "eats" a lot of CQ.
