can't open svcd files with tmpgenc

Everytime I try to open the file to do a conversion it says that it is not supported. What can I do about that???

Also...I know these are in SVCD so I know that may be the trouble too...but I am not sure now what to do. Figures I had to download off of someone with PAL stuff instead of NTSC.

Unfortunately my Panasonic RP-56 doesn't support PAL...but does do VCDs...so that's why I am trying my damndest to get this to work. If worse comes to worse then I won't bother...

That helped a little bit but it seems like people have a varied different ways of making these. Also only converting SVCD to VCD was answered but I still had questions about the templates themselves...
