No, I don't think so they were intended to be...
No, I don't think so they were intended to be used for low bitrate mpeg1/2 so sure they will work for mpeg4 but not optimally. Anyway, lets just wait and see what others have to say on the matter.

KVCD: Matrix For Mpeg-4 encoding?
I was wonder with the great success of the kvcd matrices would it be possible to create a matrix specifically designed for mpeg4. I know I can use the current kvcd matrices in XviD but obviously...
