KDVD: Increase horizontal resolution?

Hi
i know its an old question but pls remind me .
i know its forbiden to "increase horizontal resolution"
but why ?
what will happen to the video quality ??
is it just a waste of bitrate or...

currently its on a 5% more . 3.35Ghz my cpu temp is 43-45 degree celesius
i made 1 project and it went fine .
the thing is i'm not using any special cooling except for 2 side fand on the case .

o.k i got my system
and i wonder if you know of any way to check if my cpu/system
is really working at Hyper Threading ?
in the Bios it's enabeld - but when the computer starts it doeasnt say HT...

try these 2 methods: although i dont know how diko is based .
1.
Simply substitute

char buf[100];

with

char buf[BUFSIZE];
all
