What's the relation between video resolution and aspect ratio?

If a video's resolution is M X N, so the original aspect ratio (no stretch) of this video is M/N?

Why do so many different resolutions apply to the SAME aspect ratio video?

I really don't care whether the audio is poor with TmpgEnc. Many guys like me simply try to find the solution to how to burn a DVD more than 5+ or 10+ long hours. Can you please provide me KDVD/KVCD...
