Ok. I saw it. They call it "Reverse 3:2 pulldown", which would mean it's exactly Inverse Telecine :D
So if the original program is really 24fps, it auto IVTC's the aired 29.97 interlaced telecined...

Most of the time it will look better on a regular TV than on a HDTV. The reson is that the artifacts are clearly visible on the HDTV, but not on a regular TV. As I've said before, I can see artifacts...

Hi Yoda,

It really depends on the quality of the movie. If its a two hour or so movie, and you use the LBR with the file prediction formula to fill up the disk, it looks pretty good. Longer movies...
